Artist’s thoughts on the project

“174 Law having shared its vision with me it was clear that Envolée was a perfect fit as the essence of Envolée is “reaching high” a work that expressed aspiration and a desire to reach out, upwards and without limitation pursuing that aspiration”

Wirral

174 Law is passionate about supporting the local community. We believe that local resources empower us to always try to “reach high”.

The 174 Law ethos is well illustrated by our award-winning property project where we created a state-of-the-art resourced office from a local building that had long stood derelict.

The building has a proud history as a former gym for internationally acclaimed boxers, who were similarly committed to “reaching high”.

We are proud that the building echoes forger glories and that our local talent, like the boxers before them, can be said to be “Champions of the Wirral”.

Artist Amber Gallery

September 2002 – July 2006 (3 years 11 months)
While living in Barnet in North London and learning to be a mum, I approached an art gallery in North Finchley with a painting I had done. They agreed to take it and within days it had sold. I began painting regularly for the Amber Gallery until it moved in 2006.

Head Photographer Oxford Magazine

May 1999 – June 2002 (3 years 2 months)
While completing an A level part time in my final year of the Army I was offered a position with new magazine that was being set up to promote the Oxford social scene. My job involved regular visits to pubs, clubs, restaurants and bars to photograph the customers within. I covered any events such as fashion graduate cat walk shows at the town hall, May Day Ball celebrations, celebrity visitors. I did hotel and Restaurant reviews also.

Commission

Commissioned by 174 Law to create a piece to recognise the successful merger of 174 Law with Cheryl Lewis & Co and first anniversary of incorporation of the business as 174 Law Solicitors Limited.

Artist’s thoughts on the project

The art commissioned by 174 Law is a reflection of my impression of their people, dynamic and full of energy like “the Wave” a force full of vitality…”
