174 Law are proud to announce that Helen Pittard Director of Dispute Resolution has been awarded Women in Law 2016 Award in recognition of her outstanding legal expertise and contribution within the practice area of Family Law. This is a further accolation to be added to the growing number of awards bestowed upon us in recognition of our commitment to offering excellence in the provision of legal services always going that extra mile and striving for perfection at all times.
We asked Lawyer Monthly the organisation behind this award the methodology behind their selection process in order to get a better understanding behind ” why us”. Lawyer Monthly told us to ensure fairness and accuracy their selection process consisted of a point based evaluation system which was applied to each person shortlisted for entry. Points were awarded for each of the criteria below:
- Votes received from Lawyer Monthly readers
- Amount of documented activity in 2015 when compared to industry peers
- Size (Pound value) of involvement within transactions, deals & cases (where relevant)
- Involvement in significant legal cases and legal activity
- Peer recognition and personal achievement
- Strategic thinking and planning
- Previous accolades and entries within the international legal guides.
Helen said ” whilst my name appears on the award it is a reflection of the hard work of the team behind me who help support the commitment to continual review of the service we provide and also the desire and passion toward providing our clients with the best information available both legal and non legal at all times to not only advise but support them through the difficult and often unknown terrain of family separation.
This has led us to the Charity Kids in the middle who support and mentor children in the centre of parental battles but who are often overlooked and now the Divorce workshops we are able to offer with our Parenting Expert Sue Atkins. With the dissipation of Public Funding in this area and the reduction of local support services client demands still need to be met. It is our commitment to this area to ensure we have a smooth signposting facility to ensure our clients can access the areas of support they need. If we cant provide it we will find someone who can.”
Thank you to Lawyer Monthly for this recognition. We will wear it proudly.
