Hot off the press. The CSA is about to close the door to new applicants so all will have to go to the NEW Child Maintenance service. It will probably happen at the end of this month and predicted to commence 1st December 2013.
‘We are about to move to the next stage of the 2012 statutory child maintenance scheme delivered by the Child Maintenance Service.
Since December 2012, we have been testing the new system by gradually increasing the number of applicants into the 2012 scheme and are now confident the new scheme works well.
We are preparing to open the Child Maintenance Service to all new statutory applicants in the next few weeks. From that point the Child Support Agency will no longer accept statutory scheme applications. However, the Child Support Agency will continue to manage existing cases on the 1993 and 2003 schemes.
We will be in touch in the next few days to confirm when the Child Maintenance Service will be open to all new statutory scheme applicants. We will also provide materials that you can share internally with your colleagues, and updated web content.’
